Washed and washed, hand cleanser. Took the wife's bandages off from her hip surgery on Friday. Gack, gack!! Have dug around in a cow elk hit a little too far back, packed and washed out with snow, but was not prepared for this. Annnd was nothing once it was done, but my gag reflex. Couple of band aids and she is good to go. She is still laughing at this old curmudgeon. We have had more laughs over this experience unfortunately at my expense.Until you have been there, you will not understand. God bless this tough gram of my grandkids. Three fingers of bourbon and I am set! Thanks for understanding, just need to unload.....

Nothing there, but three steri-strips under a big fugly bandage from Friday other than a hell of a lot of laughter pointed a me. Am I going to get lucky? NOT EVEN, according to her. Been married 34 years, laughter is a good thing even at my expense.
Thanks Dink, even I got a laugh from your post. I can always count on you. Good one! I needed that!

my wife sliced her hand a couple years ago and was screaming like she lost a finger...I was calm got the gauze and applied the pressure...then I started feeling light headed and was like I think I'm going to throw up...was holding her hand with one and reaching for the garbage can with the other...lol I dont know what came over me ..I wasn't grossed out or anything but it just came on without warning...she still finds that part quite humorous

Know the feeling, but had you been armpit deep in a gut shot elk trying to save the meat, you would have done, what? Not blinked an eye. Go figure....

Haha. I know that feeling.

Couple years ago my little boy cut his hand with his new pocket knife (don't ask). Anyway, wrapped it up and off to the emergency room we go. When the female Dr. took the wrap off the blood squirted right in her face. Next thing I remember is laying on the floor with the Dr. looking down at me like, "what the hell are you doing down there". So embarrassing. I feel for ya.

Hey idnative, next time you are in SLC for an appointment, hit me up and I will bring you a little local High West Whiskey from Park City for you to sip on...

Seems to be more with our family members than anything else. I think it is from concern for them. I've heard stories from EMT's who experienced it with their kids, but can treat a stranger like a piece of meat.

Mild fear of blood is common in children and in adults. (44% of 6-8 year olds and 27% of 9-12 year olds experience it). Intense fear, to a phobic level is less common, affecting 2-3% of children and adults.

Hey Wimm, the night of January 29th, appointment at 8:30am at U of U Ortho Center on the 30th and a quick turn back to Boise. We stay at the Chrystal Inn at 230 W, 500 S. Any dive bars down in that area where I won't get mugged?

Poplar Street Pub - 242 s 200 w (not as big a dive, but not too bad)
O'Shucks Bar - 22 e 100 s
Bar X - 155 e 200 s
Murphy's Bar - 160 s Main St.
Juniors Tavern - 30 e 300 s
Twilight lounge - 347 e 200 s
Republican - 917 s State St.

There are a few more upscale places closer, i.e. Gracie's, Squatter's pub, Red Rock Brewery

I have to work the next day, but if you need a drinking buddy feel free to hit me up! :D

I have spent more time than I care to in that hotel...

I can't remember the name of the bar (it's now closed) but it was only a couple of blocks away on the corner. They had lingerie shows during lunch on Wednesday... :D
