Have a similar plan with the oldest two. They'll both be legal to hunt in WY by 2029. Gonna split the wife's pronghorn points (has 11 now) for a family hunt. What all have you guys got planned for future hunts ? I dont mean 2026 I mean something your planning long term? 2032 the boys will be 14 and 12 and God willing if all goes as planned those two will have antelope tags. Going to check off at least a week to do it, taking the wife and them and making it the most relaxed hunting trip I've ever experienced. I already know the unit (been there). Scenery will be amazing. Perfect balance of sight seeing close by and accommodations for the family with some good hunting. Anybody have any projections for point creep over 6 years lol? I can't be the only one daydreaming about one of these long term planned hunts...
Mid term goals
Finally draw the CO elk tag I've been chasing and cash in my points.
Switch my CO moose app to cow muzzleloader and finally hunt a moose.
Hunt a bison somewhere! Been applying to the Custer for years might eventually have to pay for a ranch hunt.
Kill a Merriams and Osceola Gobbler (already have rio and eastern).
Do a combo deer/hog/saltwater fishing trip in FL.
Use my WY deer points on a hunt finally.
If NM wants to throw something else in there great.
Long term goals
Take all my kids and wife to Africa for a 12 day safari. We've had to push back the orginal timing sense the new kid. We're thinking 2040 I'll turn 50 that year, the oldest will be 25, the youngest 15.
My retirement present to myself will be a Alaskan or Yukon guided moose hunt. Could be as early as 2046 probably be 2050.
