Football General Talk

I don't know. Some pretty legendary players and coaches absolutely loved him last year in Pittsburgh and last I checked its almost impossible to find a teammate that hates him from his time in Green Bay. Did he beat your team a bunch back in the day or you just hate him as a person or both?
Hard to forget his 2024 debacle w/ the Jets where management let him play Junior GM and plague the organization from the insight out. Steelers seemed less interested in pandering to his grand ideas, and instead had him play FB.

I don’t know any reason why someone would hate him as a person. Professionally he’s the god of INT ratio and in his prime perhaps the best pocket flush QB ever.

3300 yards 24 TDs 7 INTs with a broken wrist and throwing to 38 yr old Adam Thielen and beyond washed Marquez Valdez Scantling...in 2026. Didn't even have the only capable wr on the team the last two games of the season and still won the division sweeping the Ravens. All with the worst coaching and schematics over the past decade and it isn't close.

As for mentor, Jordan Love and he have a great relationship and Love has made it well know how much he learned from Rodgers. Mason Rudolph and Will Howard echoed the same thing last year numerous times so 🤷‍♂️

They didn't bring him back to be a mentor. They brought him back to compete and win games. Having a young prospect witness the day in day out and learn from him is huge.

Do I think Rodgers will be throwing for 40 tds and in the mvp conversation? Hell no. Do I think the steelers are winning the super bowl? No. Will they be better in every aspect than last year and be competing at the end? Yes. They need an adult calling plays and actual professional football schematics on offense and defense which they will finally have after the past 15 years of elementary status.

Putting all options out there Rodgers was their best option and a good one in my opinion. Not only do they have a capable QB they also drafted a talented young kid to coach. I don't see what else people want them to do? Rodgers is making 22 million this year which is like 18th highest for starting qbs. Hardly an over pay.

Good luck! Maybe your analysis is spot on.
My Patriots probably wont make the playoffs but im feeling good they will beat Methuselah.😉🤣

Aaron Rodgers is still good enough to be a problem in the right situation.

As a Packer fan, I’m very thankful he was not on the Vikings last year or this upcoming season.
