First wolf taken in MT

Archery hunter takes first wolf of 2011 season. Heard of two being taken over the weekend, but the Gazette only reports on one.

Yeah, Howling for Justice was reporting that two wolves had been senselessly slaughtered by bowhunters over the weekend.

glad to hear it! I saw a few tracks up where I was over the weekend and all the deer and elk seemed pretty spooked. If i get lucky and get and elk down during bow season I plan to put in a lot of time into putting one of those mutts down.

The early backcountry season for hunting wolves with rifles begins Sept. 15 and the general season begins Oct. 22.
