Finally Wyoming unit #1

First off... it's been a long time since I've been on this site. As i get older maybe a little less hunting. Still shooting the deer and plenty of turkeys.
I'm NOT a big elk hunter, as I've only been once before. I figured if I drew a tag I'd be a tag I wanted (NOTE: I'm NOT a big trophy hunter, but I'm hoping for a respectable animal). This morning was nice as in my email box was "successful" for unit #1 Wyoming. I'm somewhat familiar with the area and have friends that live close by the unit. Looking forward to July scouting and September archery.
NOTE: in case you are wondering - 18 points and I finally put in for the SPECIAL DRAW.... as I'm 67 and not getting any younger. I hope others had a successful draw.

I used to stay at the pine motel in Newcastle WY. Owner hunted this unit hard. His name was Chan. Great guy. Hit him up. I’m sure he’ll help you. Keep us posted

Recommend archery hunting that tag. I had it in '19. The elk are very callable in that unit...at least they were when I was there.
