Wyoming Resident looking for someone with a Wyoming Region W elk tag that might want to go 10-12 miles into the wilderness on horseback for archery or first rifle. This country is heavily populated with Grizzlies. I did this hunt last season solo, without stock, only a few miles in and shot a bull on opening morning. Bit off more than I could chew and rented horses to pack him out. Hadn’t been on a horse but once before, so that was a whole adventure in itself haha. Being in G bear country quartering an elk without someone watching your back is something I’d like to not do again if I can prevent it. I’m looking for someone who wants an adventure and preferably knows their way around stock. I plan on hunting 6-8 days. This is also an area that for a general unit has the potential to produce some real quality bulls. I’m looking for something around the 320” mark unless it comes to the last couple days.
