It's that time of year where the Browns start stacking up and bulking up before the spawn. Anyone else enjoy this time of year?!?! One more weekend of Streamer Fishing in MT before the opener. This has been my first year focusing on streamer fishing this time of year. Here's some of the results from the past couple weeks
18"ish brown, The net opening is 16".
Another 18"ish about 2hrs later
A 20"er last fish that day
Last Saturday, Start with a Nice Cuttie about 19" Fattie
Four casts later... Unique surprise, First Northern on a fly. Not huge, about 23"
Two from Sunday, Bow at about 17"
Brown just under 20"
Hope others are out having fun. Still learning the finer points of stripping this junk, but it's a ton of fun. Missed a couple Big browns, and spooked some Monsters. Hope to stick one of those bigger fish this weekend.
