Don't know how Moosie or Dinkshooter missed this one.

Almost non existent in the red meat industry, very common in the poultry industry.
You guys ever see a deli turkey breast ? You know, the big round ones behind the glass deli counter ?
Do you really think turkeys produce nice, perfectly round 12 lb beasts ?

Who woulda thunk? Gack!!!

At our deli there's a nice perfectly round 12lb pair of breasts and I don't think they are real either.....

The most shocking part of this to me is yahoo is still around and that people use it.

Never figured you for a source snob....tell you what, I'll cross ref the next thread for a more pretentious link...just for you.:)

there are clear USDA rules that a cut of meat sold as a designated "cut" must be whole muscle.

The grading issues at the end of the segment is not an issue in USDA inspected plants.

If I could get a "beef roll" instead of so much ground meat on my cut and wrapped meat I'd try it.
