All of us know that MM is not as "Special" as Moosie's Hunt Talk. But, I was impressed by a subject very close to heart, Smokeless Tobacco. Alright, Don't be a wuss, If you Dip as I did for several years you want to quit. Here is a link to someone who did'nt quit soon enough. Your Friend, Dr. John

I haven't had any tabaco for quite sometime now...But when I did smoke, every now and then I would buy a tin of Kodiac...I guess that I enjoyed smoking more than dipping,, but like I said that was a long time ago..

Haha I put that link up there on MM:D The guy is a really nice fellow. Just looking at those pictures of his operation was more than enough to help me this summer kick that crap.

Here is another link http://www.quitsmokeless.org/. PLenty of cancer galleries to look at. A chat function for those inclined. And under community is a forum where there is nameless faceless support if you decide to quit. So much information on the community sight on how to quit for good. If anyone here needs any help/motivation or whatever to quit, PLEASE PM me and I will be more than happy to give you my phone number and whatever to get in touch with me. I feel so good now and would love to pass it along. I feel ashamed for being a retard for so long.

All the guys on MM keep bring up the fact that they can't hunt without snuff:rolleyes: The funny thing is I used to think the same way. Nicotine will absolutely brain wash you into thinking that. This lope was the first thing I killed without that nasty stuff in my mouth in 18 years. It means alot to me.

The knee pads make me look like I'm sheep hunting in Montana/Wyoming hump

Used to chew a bit (leaf) back when I played a lot of ball....quit a loooooong time ago but even if I hadn't then, the stories my wife tells me about some of her dental patients (she's an RDH) is enough to give ya the willies....nothing like having to HOLD the tooth (so it won't fall out) in order to clean it

Good For You! Dink, Growing up my father worked with a man who had his lower jaw removed because of Cancer, he wore a Bandana like a Western Bad Guy. I used to love that stuff and now I see some members of my son's baseball team dipping. I sent the Link to the Coach and asked him to take a Proactive Stance on this issue. Thanks, John

Most of the big hunt shows here have the giveaway booths. Sacks full of free smokeless. How about your area John...same gimmick?

Hell Yeah, I had stopped smoking and while walking through the Louisiana State Fair one year I walked into the Kodiak Booth, got a 5 pack. That is more than enough to hook you! The next year I had everyone I knew getting 5 and giving it to me! I tend to be the type that says "I wonder how Fast this Will go?" Always have been, only now I know it can backfire on me, so when my buddies are "Loading Up" I just cringe! Had one buddy (He's Dead now) when he got home he got two beers, his can of Cope, put almost 1/2 a can in his Lip. Then he popped a beer and Filtered it through the Cope and caught a Buzz off of that! His eyes would almost shut down, Man I can still see him doing that! John

Did it a lot in the 5th grade. But quit once i hit 7th grade.

Pat, he is talking about chewing and not wetting your pants in public.

Quit dipping 12 years ago now to quit smoking. Harley they used to give it away at the rodeos here but the state banned it so no freebies anylonger. I remember paying 2.50 for Copenhagen now some kid was buying a tin today and it was over 5 bucks now.

There was a story a while back on the news about a kid at Chico state that died because of cancer in his jaw, throat that moved to his brain.

I dipped cope for 25 years. Quit last summer. Still have the circle in my hip pocket, only now it's from mint snuff.

My son dipped during a bull riding phase but has thankfully quit...both. I had just spent about 4 grand with his orthodontist when he got hooked. It is a nastyazz unhealthy habit to say the least...

"...5th thru 7th grade" = 5 years...LMAO Draftstud.

Never Smoked or Chewed. Never Smoked a Joint or Took pills. Never Sniffed Cocain or lit a Bong... and look how screwed up I AM !!! I recomend mopre people doing that kind of stuff so you don't end up like me !!!

J/K (On the doing more stuff part).

Kodos on Quiting. Every once in awhile I give up POP. Not that it's TOO iunhealthy , Heck Diet pop has less sugars and calories then Orange juice :) But I do it to try to give up something. I gave up pop for Jan this year, 6 days into it and it sucks !!! I couldn't emagine if giving up something as Simple s POP is tough on me how giving up Drugs, Smokes, Tabacky or any of that stuff would be. I'm guessing I couldn't do it.

Kudos to those of you that are man enough to have done it....Good luck to those of you that are going to try to do it !!!!!

I tried chewing once when I was in high school. I nearly walked into a parked pickup from the buzz. Good buzz, but it tastes like crap and hurt my lip so I couldn't figure out what was so great about it and never tried it again.

Moosie, I haven't drank a pop in probably 10 years. I don't miss paying for it at all. Of course I do drink quite a bit of coffee, I need to cut back on it.
