Tons of things being done to celebrate our country 250th Anniversary. For me, I struggle to think about how different my life would have been without public lands. It has been a huge impact on my life to having amazing places to explore, discover, get lost and un-lost, to hunt and fish, to gather my thoughts during my most troubled times, to (insert benefit here).
So, I asked the crew to help me create a video that gives some history to how we got here, how we gave most of it away, and how some who tried to take it for their own came to find out that Americans won't stand for that.
Here's the first of three videos the crew felt would cover my ideas and my script. Videos 2 and 3 will be released tomorrow and the next day. Thanks to all who sent footage as part of our request to learn how they use these public lands.
