In September of 2011 my dad was involved in a work related accident that almost killed him. His skull was fractured in two places and he lost all hearing in his left ear. He has balance and dizziness problems due to the damage to the inner ear. He was in ICU for 9 days and had to use a walker for 3 months. He has gone through extensive physical therapy and has recovered incredibly well. The Dr's cleared him to shoot in July, and he spent a lot of time at the range with his muzzleloader. We felt pretty good about his situation when we headed out for 5 days of muzzleloader antelope and deer. Things worked out pretty well and my dad shot a 3x3 mulie, a doe antelope and a turkey. From here on out I am now the official pack mule. The old gregory and a ratchet strap is a mean combo.

I only connected on a turkey and if anyone was wondering, 165gr triple shocks out of the '06 will kill a turkey.

A year ago I thought I would never hunt with my dad again so this trip was very special. Hope everyone has a good season and enjoy those hunts with family, you never know what tommorow will bring.
