Nearly 15 years ago I shot my best whitetail. I saved about 40% using this fellow who went nuts with a bandsaw. Took off the lower eye socket and the upper teeth. Nice flush fit.

Maybe it's time to spring for a shoulder mount on that one . . . ;)

The more bad taxidermy I see, the more I admire the guys who do it so well.

Wait a second....

You are from Texas, don't they have 160 class bucks in little 5 acre pens that you just rattle a feed bag and they come a running?

That's gotta be worth more that 40% off! Or did he deduct equal amount or skull?

And what is that picture between mounts?

I'm really disappointed that you would even post a picture of that mount. You paid someone to do it. DIY or bust... ;) Actually, with that outcome you probably could have just as well.

I've got very few mounts, but so far all the ones I do have are good enough. Now I just need to convince my wife that they meet the decor enough to keep adding more. I've been promised one room of every house we live in to display that stuff. On this issue she counts walk in closets as a room... We have reached a compromise, the mounts right now get to watch me re-inact scenes from Magic Mike.

Typical free range mid 140's mature Archer County whitetail buck paden but the petri dish operations are closing in. Our agng landowner is good as gold but his heirs are licking their chops.

That sucks - never have seen that done before, kinda retro :)
Cut those off there today, get yourself one of those Montana Mikes deal and repost.
