I don't see changes coming in the next several years for muzzleloaders in the archery season,
Same thought applies to those individuals that shoot their bows "faster" and "further" or want to use a Crossbow or Muzzleloader during archery season. QUOTE]
JMG,
You have some interesting viewpoints but in the end don't back your points up with facts or answer questions about the information, or misinformation in many cases, you post. There is no inforamtion that I have found to back your ridiculous claims up. Much like the huge problem of archery hunting during muzzy season, or the major problem of crossbow hunters shooting other hunters, or crossbow seasons causing archery season to be shortened that you brought up earlier in this discussion, this is yet another exageration of yours without any facts to back your claims up.
Tell me where muzzleloaders are allowed during an archery only season?
There isn't any such place that I am aware of, nor is there any group that supports such a crazy notion. You are just pulling stuff out your arse. I will no longer debate with someone with so little to offer an intelligent and constructive conversation. Have a great day.
If I am not mistaken . . . Colorado allows them. If not, Mr. Bridges proposed sharing and/or carving out a couple weeks of archery season.
OK, wyoming556.
Did a little research and asked a few other bowhunters. The following States (and yes that's with an "s") allow muzzleloader hunting at some point during the archery season. Most overlap there season in one way or another.
OHIO - early muzzleloader season during the archery season.
MICHIGAN - allow both archery and muzzleloaders in December.
NEBRASKA -
NEW JERSEY - archery, black powder, and shotguns at the same time.
ILLINOIS - late season muzzleloader season during archery season. Archers must wear orange.
VIRGINIA - muzzleloader season starts last week of archery season.
COLORADO - muzzeloader sesaon in the 3rd week of September (right in the "middle" of archery season).
MISSOURI - muzzleloader season runs during archery season. Rifle doe season and youth rifle season runs during archery season. Better stated: The only time archery season closes is for eleven (11) days during the regular rifle season. Archer have to wear orange.
MOST OF THESE STATES (AND PROBABLY OTHERS) ALLOW CROSSBOWS DURING THE ARCHERY SEASON.
"There isn't any such place that I am aware of, nor is there any group that supports such a crazy notion. You are just pulling stuff out your arse. I too will no longer debate/argue with someone with so little to offer an intelligent and constructive conversation . . . I am going to take MY ball and go play over here.I just didn't have the time to go find "the facts", but you (yes ... you wyoming556) inspired me by your "holyier than thou" attitude.
Good day, Sir!
JMG, here in Indiana the bow season comes in Oct 1st and runs til Jan 6th and never has a gap, so, yes you can hunt with a bow during all of our seasons. . . . here it does overlap. I'm with WYO, I didn't think that was what we were debating. I may be lost? That does happen to me.![]()
In reality no gun or muzzleloader is a legal weapon during an archery season but in your mind it is.
I nominate JMG and this conversations to be one of the dumbest on this site for 2013.
I do believe you owe Mister JMG and apology.
