Just completed my application for deer and elk points in CO, which I've been getting for several years now. Haven't ever really considered it for antelope because there are arguably better states for it. Just thought I'd throw it out there . . . any of you NR guys building points in CO for antelope? Anybody think it's worth it?

My resident perspective is that it's not worth it if you're a rifle hunter. If you are interested in archery hunting, there are still good opportunities that may be worth it.

There are opportunities in the eastern half of the state if you're willing to look for permission for access, but trophy quality is not there. If I were a non-resident, I would be skipping CO.

I'm in the same boat as you Spitz, I cant decide if I want to apply for antelope but I don't think I'm going to. Sounds like you have to have a lot of points for a good hunt. It seems like you could get a second choice, special tag in Wyoming and have the same caliber of hunt.

Thanks guys. That's what I figured. Maybe someday CO will let me become a Resident, then I'll just have to check out the antelope up there for myself. Until then, I have too many other places to blow cash on.

I agree with Oak. It you're in it strictly for a 'trophy' then CO isn't the state.

Thrue that. I have 14 points and all those points probably wont get me into a better area than a 0-3 point area. Luckily vouchers are cheap and there are buck tags to be drawn as a 2nd choice
