Colorado elk costs rise

For those hunting in Colorado, the price of Elk licenses have risen across the board. Bull Tags have risen by $60 to $760.99 and Cow tags are now the same price. That is a $234 increase for cow tags. I thought this was a misprint, but after speaking with a Colorado outfitter, this is a correct price. BTW...either sex is also $760.

Odd #... Should just round it to $80. Like when they just wanted to simplify the license cost from $xyz.25 (search and rescue $.25) so rounded up to the next dollar. Either way the "free meat" is getting a bit less free. Thank goodness for the roadkill with the eagles pointing out the fresh gooey ones.

Those B cow tags are pretty pricey for the NR now. I don’t see many NR grabbing 2 tags at that cost. More for the locals I guess

The CO NR bear tag at $112 and change might still be the best deal in the west for a NR big game either sex tag.

Gotta keep out the riffraff with those prices. Hunting out of state isn't cheap, and if $60 is a deal breaker, you should just spend your $760 on beef, it eats better anyway.
