Decided to go to the higher country for 3rd season to hopefully get away from the crowds. Deep snow on the shady sides, but dry on the sunny sides. Hunted just shy of 10k elevation. Lot's of elk. No people.

Saw lots of elk.

Killed this bull at 80 yards.

Spent a lot of quality time with nature packing him out. Weather showed up with a vengeance. Got the last load out Wednesday.

Spent all of Wednesday afternoon and night getting unstuck, and changing two flats.

Great season!

Congrats, T-Bone! Love the snow, but it can create issues as you well know.

(After a 1st rifle season hunt, I would love to head back. Just need to retire so I can spend a few weeks at a time out there.)

I was @ 10K for 2nd Rifle, nary a bull to be seen (but, it was 65 during the day).

Congratulations!

T, you've been doing that for as many years as I've been here...congrats...again.
