I think I'm the Only NON member of the LDS chuch that gets a "CALLING". ;)

Guess who the New "SCOUT MASTER" is ...... Will be awesome !! I'm actually excited to do that, I was jsut telling my wife the other day I needed a new thing to start...... ;)

they are ok with you being around young boys?
i see another Foley scandal in the works.

Were you a Scout? I think it's a neat Social Group for young boys. Can you carve Ivory Soap or a Race Car? We had a Boy Scout Store in Ft. Worth with all of the Projects you could buy and earn the patches. Yep, You could'nt wait until the meeting Day so you could wear your Shirt to School. Neat Times! Have Fun with it, John (Weebalo... I think!)

Cool Moosie! All I need to do is send Elder DeForest and Elder Fisher over to your place to get the ball rolling.:D IdahoBugler knows what I'm talking about ;) .

Congrats. Try not to kill any of the little stinks.

Remember Master scouter... A scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, clean, brave and reverant.

Big Todd would approve.

You can make a big impression on them at that age. Still very shapeable and open. Best of luck.

I can see the merit badges now...chocolate shake, flip-flops, ant hills, egg mcmuffins...... ;)

Remember to graphite the axles on those pine wood derby cars Moosie hump

ooooh the memories......ohhhh the horror!

I can just see how the conversation is going to be around the dinner table when those little scouts get home. "Mom, Dad! We got's the coolest scout master. Next week we are going back packing and wearing flip-flops. Plus he's gonna teach us how to embarrass our friends while in a convenience store. Then we are gonna chug some homo-milk. He said if we are real good he'll teach us how to do hand stands on the edge of a cliff!"

Well, as a Coach, you need a Background check done 2 times a year. So far my record is CLEAN !!! (Or I haven't been caught ;) ) J/K

It should be fun, I hope. As a Scout master, I jsut run the Monthly meetings. I'm not in charge of the Weekly meetings or any Trip planning. Although I'm guessing I'll get to do that later. I wanted to go on the Boy scouts 50 miler this year but I didn't have any vacation. If I was a Scout leader I would have the Coolest DEN, PACK, or whatever they are called. In the Summer I'd rent boats and Water Jets to get water merit badges and in the Winter Snow Machines .....

All Flip Flop and Pan Jokes Aside, Those kids will remember me, I'm just like a kid.... Well, Except I cuss more, But other then that (And I'm working on it) We think on the same level :p

Moosie - are any of your boys old enough for Boy Scouts? Good luck with it, you'll enjoy it a lot. I think I have more fun than my 13 year old 99% of the time.

A calling!! You might as well get baptised while you are at it. The church must be getting desperate. Just kidding Moosie, I'm sure you will be a great scout master, you did say girl scouts, right?

Well its a load off my mind to know that you are fully aware of what you are getting yourself into.:)

Good luck and I hope you enjoy it, in my experience the hardest part about working with kids is other adults.

Moosie, You need to post a picture of you in your scout master uniform. Make it official...Kinda.

In August , I was pulling the scouts behind the boat on a float tube. If you get going fast enough (centripital force) those boys can be skipped across water just as good or better than any flat rock. ARMS AND LEGGS going everywhere. Funny as heck. The only injury we had was a busted blood vessell in one of the boys eyes. He lived to SEE another day.

Good luck with your new adventure in life. ITS FUN
