How does everyone keep updated on the weather when off grid in the backcountry? I have always printed a forecast for the period and area I am going to be but as weather changes we all know how accurate the long term forecasts are.

Watch the sky and feel the wind. Weathers gunna do what the weathers gunna do, whether you see it coming or not.
Yep, I don’t even look at a weather report while I am mountain hunting. But I do get excited when 4” of fresh snow falls overnight...

^you guys obviously don't hunt in bentonite.

Another big fan of the inreach for weather.

A buddy and I almost got stuck in a bad way last year in the breaks. Being able to get a forecast while out of service told us we needed to either get out pronto, or set up camp for a week.
I totally get it mate. The bighorn basin is the same way.
