More frequent and intense droughts, the cattle herd at a 100yr low, and millions of acres needing to be addressed, I’m pretty sure this idea isn’t going to fix the problem. $7/lb hamburger will result in free grazing leases in the name of wildfire prevention.
The Gila has been grazed to death and is ready for it to burn up worse than before.
NM does not seem to know what sustainable grazing or grazing for fire suppression is.
