Catch All Fishing Thread

Catching silvers in the salt water was my favorite fishing. Didn't take much skill but it was sure fun.
Oh man was it ever! Never been so busy fishing. Couple of times 3 out of 4 poles had a silver on! I don't think I can share YouTube videos on here, but at some point I'll put together a highlight clip and share it

We chartered a trip on Yellowstone lake with Grandpa. It was a great way to not have to go to ol faithful. Someday, when I have a much bigger boat, I'll be back DIY. That is, if they haven't figured out how to exterminate the lakers by then. Not pictured are a handful of 18-22" cutthroats.

Had to be creative yesterday. Needed to get the ball rolling with this years firewood gathering. Yet, my wife needed to catch some mountain creek trout.
Found a spot to do both. Happy for her, she disappeared for an hour and a half and stopped counting at 20 fish. I dropped 5 trees for a truck load.
Two celebrate we drank beer and skinny dipped.
Good day!!image000002(2).jpgimage000000(5).jpg

Be doing this tomorrow. Same method. No wonder our bodies hurt. mtmuley
Been doing this every year since I was a kid. I look forward to the process each year. Can't throw logs around like I used to though.
You ever speculate how many tons of building material your body has moved?
Laughing with a friend recently over this.

Went camping with some friends last night, and caught my first fish on fly gear. Of course I had left my phone at the campsite, so no pic :(
It wasn’t very impressive anyway, a 6-7in rainbow trout.

I had also left my crawfish trap soak overnight, and came back this morning to about 2 dozen crawfish and 2 small trout in the trap. I let the trout go, and boiled up the crawfish for breakfast.

1st musky and only 7438 casts. 33 inches and Son missed netting 2 times and flashbacks to my dad miss netting a monster as big as front of open bow my cousin had on. 1st walleye for friends grandkid. Took over an hour to get 3 rods out kept getting hit by keepers and shorts on Erie. Month or two and Erie is going to be lights out with keepers. 20230703_210728.jpg20230630_230913.jpg

@Falcon75

1/7438 is batting way better than the proverbial “1/10,000 casts”.

Glad your son sealed the deal for you. Congratulations
