Dang. i was hoping for a better ending. Maybe reality is starting to sink in for them. I bet the kids asked them to talk to a realtor. the realtor was a smooth talker and the for sale sign was the result.

Still could be. Asking $565k and getting a $565k offer are two different things that most (realtors especially) have seemingly forgot the past 5 years with sellers being able to command nearly any price they want.

A long winter with little interest can do wonders for negotiations. Here's to hoping that for sale sign is buried in snow in February with no offers. Plus by then the sour taste the owners put in @Addicting 's mouth will hopefully be gone.

The properties for sale around my area have high sale prices, have been on the market since spring and the sales prices that have not been reduced. Very few sales. Waiting game.
