Boys & Bluegill

I treated the local Cub Scout Pack to a fishing trip yesterday. They did great, 12 catfish, 8 crappie and 56 bluegill. I think it took me longer to fillet them than it did to catch them.

Outstanding time for them. That probably helped that lake to get some pan fish out of it, too. I have a 14-acre lake that is still settling in. I have great bass and bluegill, but some others need a few years. Great stuff.

My boy got first ten this last Sunday it was a blast. Casting landing but I had to get them off the hook spiky little fish.

The Crappie were pretty big over there this spring, still catching some good sized ones? I might make a quick trip over in early Nov.
