great state of Idaho....
Had to copy the title from @BoomerUSAF lol 😂

got out in the beautiful 60 degree weather last week on the Mighty Columbia River! Good fishing with a 11lb 12oz female to start day 2 of fishing, added 2-8lbers also, brought home 15 or so keeper males, including 1 that had a huge belly full of water, see pic. Knew it wasn’t a female as small as it was. Enjoy!

Great Walleye.
The big spawners should be starting to run here too.
Ice is just going out. We were out last week, no Walleye or cats yet but we got into some nice drum.

MN walleye doesn't open on lakes until mid may....I might have to get out for some panfish when the ice clears.

Off-topic poll...would you upgrade your trolling motor (minn kota powerdrive to Terrova) or fish finder (old Lowrance hook 5 to upgraded sonar)?

I almost did this year, have a gen 1 helix 5 and the gen 1 112thrust minn Kota. Almost got the helix 8 gen 4 and a new self deploy minn Kota but don’t have the $4900 laying around after a trailer purchase.

Most of the lakes around here are shallow mud holes, I'm think a trolling motor with spot lock would be more beneficial. Only really have the funds for one or the other right now.

Well....after looking at funds I went with new electronics. Garmin echomap was on sale from cabelas, couldn’t pass it up.

Nice fish! Keep thinking I should go after them. Only done it one time. Old friend and I went with a guide out of Irrigon in Feb. Used bottom walker's. Read where they fall off this time of year. With that guide we both got only one fish in a long day! Still want to try some more but what do people use this time of year?

There at Irriogn where we were the guide said we were over mussle bed's. Read that is supposed to be good for cat's so definately want to go try that! Now for channel's I fish the John Day well above the falls near LePage Park. Didn't do bad on them last fall got about 20 and smallest 14" biggest 26" ave 20". Biggest was 6 1/2#! That was my first year fishing for cats other than bullheads. Nothing doing yet this year, to much water I think heavy flow!

Need to get a new motor for my old boat and get out on the Columbia in places other than LePage Park and Irrigon. Don't think I trust my 15' Jon boat out there to far!

I can't wait until I live closer. Maybe I can get an invite at some point ;)
Years ago there was a lake on the south side of Denver that had walleye in it. Only problem was back then you had a boat or didn't catch them. Can't remember the name of the lake.
