Made you look didn’t I lmao 🤣

Anyway made a trip to the mighty Columbia River last week. Had a great solo fishing adventure. Slept in the boat, ate freeze dried meals, and caught a bunch of walleyes on a 3-way rig using the rapala scatter rap minnow. Weather was in the 60’s, brought home 4, gallon zip lock bags almost full of delicious goodness. Now I can spend the next 6 weeks chasing a possible 20lber 😳

I thought Idaho had winters. This must be an old story if you are hunting on soft water like that. Either that or you are hiding some secret honey hole in Nevada and pretending it's Idaho.

-1 F here this morning. Winter.

We do. Duck was over in @fishing4sanity neighborhood. The Reach maybe?

Looking out the window this morning in Podunk, Idaho, its -4°F

Congrats on the fish and good timing on the weather! Monday night the temps dropped and the wind was 40+, Tuesday was freezing and windy all day, this morning we were in single digit temps and thankfully less wind. Even as good as walleye tastes, I wouldn't have been on the river the last few days.

Man I want to learn to catch walleye trolling so bad. I’ll be picking your brain soon!

Its really not that difficult. Usually comes down to trolling slow (.8mph to 1.4mph) and finding rhe type of action they want that day. Some times it's slow crawler harnesses, some times it's faster moving jerks.
