Former Vice President Dick Cheney
The ex-Bush official tells NBC News : "It's tremendous news, it really is a great day for an awful lot of people who worked very, very hard for a long time. Think about the bravery and courage of the men who carried out the operation."
"It's also a good day for the administration. President Obama and his national security team acted on the intelligence when it came in, and they deserve a lot of credit too."
No doubt Ken. I was hoping we wouldn't see partisan bickering over who gets credit
Could Obammy have taken anymore credit for himself??? Could have replaced "I" with "America" for once... Let's all remember that Bush started this mission 10 years ago and Obama was the one that ran on ending it!!
Obama had the chance to address the "teamwork"(I guess I'll go with that) bewtween his and the Bush administration in the succes on capturing Amercas most wanted man, rather he took all the credit for himself and the media will now right him up as being the "president who killed bin laden" so re elect him America! That's not good! The credit should have been split as to retain the prestige of Bushs asmistration for starting a war over a mission that is now complete. I am proud that Obammy ordered the attack but it is not as if he conducted the intel or drew up the illustrious ambush himself so why did he overshadow those who did? I'm not so much upset that he took most the credit as I am that he didn't give it to those who really deserved it.
