I booked a condo for a trip with my kids down in Biloxi Mississippi for early May.Kids will enjoy the beach and all that comes with it but I'm wondering about the fishing.Anyone familiar with the area and the fishing in early may?I love deep sea fishing, and will look into charters if its good time of year for that. I like to do some bay fishing also watching the sun rise each morning, and again in the evenings.
Anyone that knows the area,I appreciate any imfo on good charter or party boats.Any good places to eat close by and anything else my kids might have interest in.I take my kids to a beach vacation every year but Florida and NJ are getting old so we are trying somewhere new this time

I vacation in gulf shores al, so I can't speak for Biloxi which is about a hundred miles away and in a different state. Gulf Shores has some incredible fishing in the bays and deep sea, and I think that red snapper might be in season. One year the boat we went out on had caught a 10 foot bull shark the week before and it bit the prop almost in half, the boys loved that. You might also look into turkey depending what time in may you are going. I think cobia are around and working that time of year also. Have fun whatever you do.

Lots of opportunity to charter a trip into the gulf or the bay. You might Google charter companies and call some to see what is running at that time. Grouper, snapper and red fish are always favorites if looking to stock your freezer. Lots of casinos for the adults, nice beaches, The Mississippi coast got pretty devastated by hurricanes in the last few years and even though built back to an extent they lost so many of the old live oaks that it has lost a bit of it's charm. You're close enough to New Orleans to run in for a day of sight seeing or go East to Pensacola to see the Navy Aviation Museum. Pensacola has a pier that's over 1600 feet long and just East of there is the Navarre pier which is almost as long, lots of fishing off the piers and great sunsets. Nice restaurant at the root of the Navarre pier. Most of the time I spent in Biloxi was either playing golf on the air base or trying to fool the slots at a casino.

Don't know much about diversions for the kids, dependent on age really, so you might have more luck finding something once you get there; good luck and have fun.

I will be in Gulf Shores Alabama for February and March .I knowf ishing is it and miss ,depending on water temps.Never been there in May but I would think it would be great in Biloxi that time of year as the water warms.

thanks, think a trip to New Orleans for day would be good.I looked up some sites last night and found a few water parks, tons of fishing piers and a few charters. They have cheap boat rentals there to which I like to do with the kids out in the bays
Looks like a nice place
