KHunter...I've got those boots and absolutely LOVE them.... Get a good set of gaitors and those boots will do all you need! (I have the Kennetrek gaitors too)... Boots are Lowas, but exact same boot.

So you are saying you have a kenetrek etreme 400gram equivalent, but it is actually a Lowa boot? Which one (sheephunter?)
So far I love the lowa tibets and will keep them Not sure if I like my personal fit for the nenetreks just yet. Wearing arounfd the house as I decide whether to return/exchange...a little hard to tell with a broken ankle at the moment.

Get the snowmobiles ready for weekends to our place in Oregon, re-mod a bathroom, tie up some flys, work on our vintage mini-bikes for next summer and in between some furniture building.
