I got to do something I have been waiting for 3 years to do. I was able to take my son hunting with me this weekend. We went on Thursday, he struggled with his hunting voice and got way to excited when he realized I was going to shoot. He ended up scaring off the deer and kept telling me and his mother he was sorry. We took him again tonight, trying to get my wife's buck, does came out by us at 30 yards. B was so excited he kept trying to stick his head out of the blind. I was finally able to get the shot off and he was giving me knucks right away. He was so excited and had to go track it with me, was not much of a tracking job. It was one of the best nights of my life. Best, his mother got to be there too. It was great...now I will show you some pics. Sorry, a little excited too!

Great stuff!

They are all great! The pic of you and your young one dragging that deer is PRICELESS! That and you holding him as your walking off the field.

I imagine the only hunt you'll have that can equal will be his first animal. Congratulations!

Thats awesome Brandon! You are going to find that you will look more forward to going out with him than heading out alone chasing big bucks or bulls. Its the way it has happened with me, would rather head out smoking does with the kids than go hike the hills looking for big stuff for me!

Great job getting him out there....was just thinking when i was packing my antelope out Saturday that i really wished my boys were with me, maybe next year:)

I love it!!!

I agree with crittergetter! I will hardly mention my hunts and success but I will talk your ears off when it comes to my son and daughters hunts and what they kill! I`ve been taking them since they were 5 or 6 and they go with me still every chance they get and they are 14 and 16 years old now.

BTW, congrats on the doe!

I honestly did not think he could do it this year...he is a little chatter box...but he did great and it was a blast. We are going to go again next week. Have until Jan 15th to go!

Yea, i've got one that is the same way.......not exactly in "hunt" mode most of the time as far as movement and quiet:) However, if he scares them off, big deal, just a doe;) Just means you get to go again:):)LOL
