Flu induce fog got me thinking-sorry. I pretty much live and breath all things outside-especially hunting and fishing. For honesty's sake I am also a government employee, often times not too happy with the juggernaut myself. That being said, I was an outdoorsman before I ever had a job and will be one long after-powers willing. Being an outdoorsman is why I took the career path I did. Thus I will get to my point. My politics pretty are based on what I care about most (believe it or not-it ain't my job)-like most. I'm not enamored with either of our two parties, so I vote for who scares me less. I end up voting against the GOP party mainly because I fear what they will do do my lifestyle more than what the Dems will. I'm way less afraid of higher taxes and big brother than I am of the thought of a single piece of legislation that will hamper my ability to fish my [public] streams. I really don't think either party is truthfully willing to fix the "big mess", so I simplistically vote against the party that seems to want to also make a mess of what I care about. But hey I'm also 50, have lived a lot of great things, and am pretty simplistic when it comes to whats important to me. I see a picture of a little kid with a cow elk, and I want that kid to be able to do that when she's my age. If she can, I figure her life must be pretty good. Generate some "fireside" discussion?? If not........
