He's getting paid to work out/promote/hunt. This is his new job. I can't say I blame him either. He like his buddys at Eastmans are leaving because they are getting better offers. We all do that in life if we are smart.

Don't have any link but like it was mentioned by someone else he killed some great bulls on purchased tags. Team Elk spent some cash if you look up the specifics on where he hunted.

I think it's great he is killing big bulls. I just find it funny how he preaches so hard about backcountry hard core hunting, but he no longer does it himself.

It really is amazing how good of shape some of these guys are in. I'm in the best shape of my life right now at 43 and couldn't keep up with Cam for the first mile. I'm proud of the 5 miles I ran this evening at a 9:08 pace, that's a slower pace than a ton of folks are running marathons. I think you have to run a 7:30 pace in another marathon just to qualify to run in the Boston marathon.

It is SO much more enjoyable to be out hunting when you are actually in reasonable shape though. I'll keep at it and hopefully I'll draw a mountain goat tag sometime while I'm still in good enough shape to hunt it. I would love to be in even better shape at 45 than I am now.

As someone who lives in the south plains of Texas and sits at a desk all day, working out is the only way I'm going to have a chance at being in shape. I'm not hitting the weights or anything like that yet, but I may have to as I get older. Right now I do get some manual labor in on the weekends that seems to keep me reasonably strong. Running is all I've found that can keep me ready to hump it up the mountains though.
