Went and checked the trail cams out at my deer hunting spot and found this one on camera today I know nothing about bears how big do you think this one would be weight wise.
Big ears and a little belly, all tall tale signs of a younger bear, but he has a good size head on him could be a good bear in a few years. Keep filling that feeder
two things to look at from a side view like that is-
1. a sow will look like it has a bigger rear end sets a little higher and smaller in the front end. Front shoulders less defined less bulky where a boar is just the opposite bigger front shoulders little higher smaller rear end sits a little lower.
2. also the face profile of a sow looks more slender almost longer and up turned whereas a boar is really boxy like the nose is cut off straight down blocky and shorter muzzle then a sow.
Hard to say from one picture and not seeing it walking but I would guess that is a boar.
my 2 cents
MN it is very legal to bait bears and This is more of an urban area which lyes in the no quota zone where we are allowed to shoot two bears. the land owner wants it gone and honestly I have never shot a bear and given the opp I prob would take this bear weather or not it is big or not avg bear in this area is 150lbs and he is close enough for me.
Wow, I have a spot I hunt in Andover, I have never seen a bear there, but now I'm wondering if I might accidently run into one in the dark If your going to try to take this one and want some amature video of it let me know. I'll gladly come video it for you.
I wouldn't give that bear 130# unless it eats A LOT more.... It's a smally. I've killed bear liek that so I'm not judging ya. Just telling you that it's not 130#.
How many inches is it to the Bottom of your feeder ?
