REPORT ILLEGAL CELLULAR TRAIL CAMERAS?

Then leave a note on his camera telling him they’re illegal. How difficult is this?
This is a head scratcher for me. If potential illegal activities are occurring I should just make the alleged aware? If I see someone blatantly driving off-road in pursuit of game, shooting big game from a vehicle, shooting hawks from a fence post.....or any other made up example; should I just make them aware? Don't dig too deep into my examples and miss the forest for the trees.

Maybe I am just getting/maintaining an old grouchy bastage attitude, but if I see game infractions, I will be documenting and reporting to the best of my ability.

Is it too late to make this thread into a poll? 😀

o Turn the poacher in!

o Let the camera photograph a note that says, “Your use of a cellular trail camera may be illegal; however, if you are just a Girl Scout monitoring bird activity and you still have some boxes of Samoas available, please call (748) 356-xxxx.”

o While wearing a ninja suit, spray paint over the lens.

o Shake fist and yell at passing clouds.

o Do your morning yoga, in your birthday suit, in front of the camera.

UPDATE:

So I am trying to take a nap today and my phone rings…guess thats what I get for putting my name and number on my trail cameras. A young man whose dad works with my dad is on the other line. He admits to checking my SD card on a camera of mine he found miles from this situation. Then he tells me he saw that I found his camera because he saw my son and I on this very camera we are discussing. Small world huh!! Anyway, nice youngster. I explained to him how it was illegal. He was under the impression you could run these if you pull the camera 15 days before season starts(this is similar to our baiting law). I sent him the part of the proclamation that speaks of this infraction. Anyway, @El Jason and others, 🤣, case closed with another happy ending!! 🤩

P.S. the young man had several trail cams stolen last year and his pops bought him this camera for Christmas and he was excited to run it. He also stated that he started running boxes too.

So why was he checking the SD card on YOUR camera, seems kind of skanky. All my cameras are locked for that reason.

I don’t mind people checking my camera as long as they do not delete anything. For one reason, we had a situation in January where a buddy put a rough shot on a nice buck. We couldn’t find him anywhere. We would like to know if he made it or not.

Imagine there's no cameras
It isn't hard to do
No waterhole hit lists to kill or die for
And no checked SD cards, too

You may say I’m a dreamer
but I’m not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the fair chase world will live as one
To each his own opinion
