I always look forward to the lopener. Its a much needed change to the physical and mental demands of chasing bulls.This year was no exception. I am no writer so I will just post pictures.
This was the first buck we spotted, my brother in law was not quick enough, and it was getting ready to walk in to the sea of orange. So I decided it was good enough for me.

Yesterday we hiked in to a Roadless area of a state section. There were lope everywhere, I was happy to help my brother in law connect with his first lope.

He forgot his knives so I told him we would just carry it back to the truck. I don't know what's the matter with him here, not sure he could handle the elk woods. lol..
