You need to google the definition of sanctuary city. I think it may help. For local police to not ask about immigration status does not mean they let felons back on the streets. To an underresource local police force, those question are not typically germaine to the problems they face. Either way, it should not allow ICE to violate the rights of US citizens. The two violations are not comparable.

How about we send them to your neighborhood and they can live in your streets and commit murders, rape, kidnapping, and pedal drugs to your kids and your family. Release them, I couldn't care less. It has nothing to do with ice and cleaning up the garbage that blew in under open borders. It needs cleaned up and I'm glad its being done.

ICE took away a 5 year old preschool student in front of pleading family members. His Mother and siblings were left behind in MN. The little boy is thought to already be in Texas.

And the associated press obtained an ICE directive memo to officers that says they do NOT need a warrant to break into homes.

So much for the constitution.

If you read it, with intent to comprehend, you'd see the agents are getting warrants. The officers on the street aren't making the decisions.

My assumption is they're getting around this by considering the illegals inside as an Emergency Threat (case by case), which gives them the right to enter without a Judicial Warrant.

That very well might be the case. My knowledge of the law is very limited and I would defer to those who are professionals in that field to have a better response. The warrant issue is fairly low on my list of issues I have with the approach and method currently being used.

How do you feel about the reduction in training and requirements for ICE? I don't like reduced training for ANYONE (nurse, teacher, mechanic, etc.), let alone someone who professionally carries a gun. I can see they feel the need for an increase in number of agents, but lack of training and vetting is a concern...to put it mildly.

So, you are admitting they are looking for ways to cut corners. All they have to say is that they judged the situation to be an emergency, and in they go.

It is progress that you think that ICE is looking for ways to avoid Constitutional constraints. Maybe some day it will bother you.

Well I'm guessing like any field, the higher the demand, the lower the requirements and more it pays. I can't speak to their training, but its not like they're out there shooting everyone unjustly.

I think 4 years of college was stupid to need to do my job. 2 would have been sufficient. Id guess similar cuts could be made to training in this sense. As with any gov job theres a lot of BS hoops to complete. Hopefully thats what got nixd
