First thing to check is to make sure you have the Forest Visitor Maps layer turned off. That one is located in the Roads, Trails, and Rec folder and can sometimes cause issues like you are seeing. If that doesn't resolve the issue, please send us a screenshot of what you're seeing on your end, that will help us to troubleshoot this further for you.

Today it is working.
I swear, I didn't touch anything.
🙆‍♀️🤷‍♂️

First let me say that I didn't read through all 62 pages of this thread. So bear with me if this has been asked before.
I started a new job and I can't log into OnX because of a firewall setting. Is there anything I can to to work around this? Of course I will only use this on my lunch time. LOL!

Our best recommendation is to check with your IT department and see if they can add www.onxmaps.com to list of allowed websites so the the firewall doesn't restrict access anymore.

I apologize if this has already been asked but I was being lazy and did not want to read through 60+ pages….🤷‍♂️.

Is there a way to set the OnX app on my iPad & iPhone to rotate from portrait to landscape permanently? It is kind of annoying to have to read it vertically all of the time, especially on the iPad. Not a big deal on the phone. Thank you!

At this time, landscape mode is not supported in the onX Hunt App, but we will pass your request along to our engineering team!

Not a question, but a recognition of great customer service.

I was importing some XML data into my OnX, and it turned out to be about 10,000 waypoints, many of which were stacked. It was just under the 4MB limit.

This froze my OnX interface, where in a browser it was unusable, and in the app on my phone, it would just freeze up. I opened a ticket with OnX, and a fellow named Jack responded promptly and gave me some advice. His advice didn't work, but then he escalated the case and asked for my written permission to get into my account. I gave him that permission, and from his end he was able to delete all those waypoints I mistakenly uploaded.

Quick responses and fixed a mistake I made. I've not been the most favorable to OnX over the years, but I feel like I received excellent and fast customer service on this one and that is worth a lot.

Just got a message that ONX will not support IOS16 anymore. Is there any truth to this? I just bought an IOS 16 ohone and Ipad in December and had my subscription renewed in March.

Please advise

I do want to note that an iPhone 16 is different than iOS 16. So if you bought an iPhone 16, you're able to update the operating system to the newest version and be good to go.

With the release of our next app version our oldest supported iOS version will be updated from iOS 16 to iOS 17 / iPadOS 17. This does not mean onX will stop working completely on devices running iOS 16. When we discontinue support for a specific OS version, it means that we no longer develop or test new code/features on that now unsupported iOS version. We discontinue support for older iOS versions to focus on developing features and fixing issues for the vast majority of users who are on more recent versions.

Customers on unsupported iOS versions can no longer update their onX app beyond the last version that supported the newly discontinued iOS version. Because they can no longer update their app version, they won’t have access to new features or fixes unless they update to a supported OS.

If you purchased a new iPhone and iPad recently, it is unlikely your devices are impacted by this change.

Apple devices as far back as the iPhone X support iOS 17 - devices released as early as 2019.

If you need help updating your iOS version, or you want to check if your device is able to update to a compatible iOS version, please send us an email at [email protected].
