One way to cool the meat down.
How was the cleaning process?

A couple of weeks ago. One day I'll write up the events that led to this pic...maybe when the forum devolves into the winter doldrums and pissing matches

It wasnt an ideal situation. Cleaned up easy plenty of water around..... but that was the only easy part about it.

2026 bull shot 2 days ago, the ol' TC renegade strikes again! As I've gotten older I spend more time sitting blinds and treestands and less time walking, but I killed this bull while still hunting through the timber, so that was a lot of fun.

Here is one in the act of "as he lay" The caliber ends in PRC but I don't remember which one. Shot distance was 150 yds +/-

This log saved the buck from rolling all the way down. I don’t even know how this happened, but the odds were extremely low.
