Anybody Buying Yet? Where’s the Bottom?

You must be getting close to old man status. When are you going to stop chasing greed, and start chasing security with your investments?
I think what schmalts sees is not anti-capitalism but anti-oligopoly. American has a long history of breaking up oligopolies since the Sherman act: Northern Securities (Railroad trust), American Tobacco, Standard Oil, AT&T. Most Americans the last 18 months see corporations blatantly buying politicians and data centers popping up next door and probably look at tech firms as needing some regulation. Ironic that the market reaction to Google separating Youtube and Facebook splitting off Instagram might very well be positive.

We will see what the next 18 months of DSA crazy talk does for you and your investments. Wish you well.

Hard to get into buzz's head, but I take that comment as buzz being upset that the greedy billionaires cashed out, leaving him holding the bag of dodo. 😁
Funny he's only vocal about things like Trump crashed his 401 with tariffs but not this time. In the end this will pass, i hope, because I still got more than a million left to readjust. I wish I put more in SCHD a year ago. Instead I put a lot in SPYI but that hasn't been so bad either. I kept all my TSM as for me it's been my darling and I feel the safest tech stock because pretty much all the others can't do anything without buying product from them. Currently it's my biggest stock holding. I cashed out a lit of energy ETFs and got rid of all the high div stocks that require a K1 hassle.

TSM seems way risky to me, at this point in my life. Hope it all works out for you. None of us has a crystal ball especially buzz. He just has a huge chip on his shoulder.

The irony is they both came on here and notified us they cashed out. 2 sides of the same coin 😂.

I never touched anything in my 401,95% in S&P...no plan to change it for 3 to 4 years. I just pointed out the obvious reason for the dip.

I dont ever see a day I have less than 75% of my 401/IRA money in the S&P.

Pension, FERS supplement, and rental income and I'm good.

Although this hunting everyday in retirement is wearing me out...

Market is farrr greater than U.S. Presidential or congressional / governor elections. Ebb and flow of life in general. It's pandering the news for the Vanguard and Blackrock that were farrrr ahead of the obvious volitile fluctuations. Good money paid for an insider peak into earnings, AI generated patterns, etc...

US "politics" may dimple the global economy though the market historically runs 8-11%, YOY upward. Dips / corrections / "Blood of the right ear" / recession, all factor into buying opportunities.

Much adu about nothing... Unless you go butt arse nekkid on a couple $80 call into INTC earnings... THEN it is everyone elses fault - Politics be damned! Doomsday nears! End of the AI bubble is upon us!

edit: bold typo. Must be AI error. SELL AI!

I'm dealing with it now with the hacks that replaced my roof and siding from a recent storm. Ignorance is bliss on both sides many times because you don't know if you got a good end product.
They're must be some really ignorant customers out there for some of these guys to stay in business I recently had some windows replaced and im not exaggerating when I say that a kindergartner could have done a better job. Of curse this guy was recommended by the local lumber yard where I order my windows. Claims to have been in business 40 years. 40 years of absolutely $*)Q!#@$ people who apparently didn't mind. Blows my mind. Makes me wonder why I'm working for someone sometimes if that is the standard for being in business that long.

This is percisely because those old folks paid a lot LESS to fund the socialism they are receiving off of the "young folks" open to socialism. Theyre paying for a lot of socialism to the statistically very rich.

Socialism for country club boomers and an economy where middle class people under 30 kind of "dream" about home buying - are you really suprised young people finally want their own cut of it?

The most outrageous part of the maga brand and trump was the all out death nail they put in any entitlement reform.
You "dream" of it because you never went to work with hole in your shoes or ate lunch from a paper bag for 35 years.

You don't get a "cut" of IT. You EARN YOUR SHARE.
