I think we've shown pretty clearly that, "Just don't do XXXXX thing." is not always effective guidance for addicts. If we can't agree that there are addictions associated with high sugar, high fat foods then we'll have to agree to disagree I guess.

Maybe not, but I'm not really looking for regulations against the companies. I'm looking for restrictions on what taxpayer money can be spent on. That was my reference to "stop rewarding" earlier.

Yeah, honestly my gut reaction is to do away with government subsidies to industries that would fail otherwise. I'm generally a big fan of free market without government intervention.

That'd be a start. Gone on so long now I doubt it will ever happen and fwiw there's a good chunk of people who are recipients of those subsidies who would just as soon see them go away as well.
