But equating the two is ridiculous.
Buying calls? How about buying EV car companies as speaker of the house and then by her own power introduce a bill to mandate EV? That's worst IMO. Same could be said about buying solar, OSH, and others.Buying NVDA calls
vs.
Reynolds donating $5m to MAGA inc., executives having lunch with Trump a few days later, and within a week the FDA is ordered by RFK to reduce the review process on flavored vapes.
These don't seem different? Member of congress just don't have the same control over actions. Both may seem bad to the average person because they are cut out of the information loop, which I understand, but it seems different. And Pelosi didn't create her own meme coin and sell it to her cult members.
Or the Trump phones. At least the coins actually existed.Buying NVDA calls

This response is more surprising to me than the actual act. The person is one vote. Introducing a bill is not the same as the bill becoming law. If you want an example to be upset about, it would be the national security meetings on COVID where they walk out of the meeting and tell the public everything is fine then go to their office and sell their stock. How about buying EV car companies as speaker of the house and then by her own power introduce a bill to mandate EV? Politicans are politicians. But no one ever envisioned the potential for this level of corruption in the Oval. People can play "whataboutism" if it helps them sleep at night. At some point, sleaze is just sleaze- unit of measure stops mattering a whole lot.
And there is no one to hold him accountable.
Republicans shouldn’t be blamed for him any more than the Democrats should be.
The blame is with the American citizens.
Im not sure I’m defending anything other than there is a difference in actions, even if I don’t like either one. Like stealing a 6 pack versus stealing the entire beer delivery truck. There is no way I can wrap my mind around blaming Dems for losing moral high ground resulting in the election of the most morally corrupt individual I could image. But somehow people do it.Zoom out a bit and consider the position you’re defending- does that seem helpful against the orange scourge?
Republicans shouldn’t be blamed for him any more than the Democrats should be.
That is what I was saying when I said Republicans and Democrats/ voters of said parties.
Republicans voted for it- but Democrats failed to produce a viable alternative, which did not happen overnight.
I'm sorry, she was viable, maybe not highly desirable.
