Anybody Buying Yet? Where’s the Bottom?

I will confess having an amount of glee watching bitcoin and its cousins come down to earth, a crash landing would be nice, better than a NASCAR pileup.

I have long thought that crypto was a greater fool game. It has no intrinsic value that I can see.
No argument from me on that. But I would say gold is the same, other than it is physical. Is there value in being able to touch it? Some might argue there is. And we certainly see there are a lot of stocks running in the greater fool game.

I would agree that much of gold's value is similar to crypto, but it does have some valuable commercial properties.

My thinking is that governments will only allow it to exist as a minor player in the economy. If it becomes too big, then they lose the ability to control economies via currency manipulation and would then regulate it back into minority status. Trump may be a little slow to get there.

Bitcoin is continuing with its price momentum.

Hopefully a person can't buy it on margin.

There’s only ever going to be 21 million bitcoin. How many US dollars will there be at the end of Trumps term?
