Haven’t Zelle and Venmo pretty much replaced any need for PayPal? It seems like a dinosaur. I can’t remember the last time I used PayPal. I’ve written paper checks more recently than I’ve used it.

I try not to cheer when others lose money. Today it's them, tomorrow it might be me. Although I get it.

I have long thought that crypto was a greater fool game. It has no intrinsic value that I can see.

No argument from me on that. But I would say gold is the same, other than it is physical. Is there value in being able to touch it? Some might argue there is. And we certainly see there are a lot of stocks running in the greater fool game.

I would agree that much of gold's value is similar to crypto, but it does have some valuable commercial properties.

My thinking is that governments will only allow it to exist as a minor player in the economy. If it becomes too big, then they lose the ability to control economies via currency manipulation and would then regulate it back into minority status. Trump may be a little slow to get there.
