Antelope...Lets See Them!!!

Same antelope.
The 3 casings in the nose represent me not realizing my exposed elevation turret had gotten twisted while hiking around. That scope got moved to a still hunting gun and the turrets are taped in place.

How did y'all manage 3 within 100yds of each other???
Hiked in about three miles and setup a tent two days before opener. Scouted and picked up some sheds haha. Opening day my buddy was up first to shoot, then my brother and then me. At first light we saw a nice buck that my buddy and I went after that was chasing a doe around a small water hole 1/2 mile from us. My brother went after one that he saw in another direction. My friend ended up shooting his buck. While I was congratulating him and getting set to walk over the 290
Yards to his buck another buck crested the ridge running a doe right at the water hole. I got down on the gun and dropped him at 320. At this point we are super pumped. Both bucks are laying really close to each other. By this point my brother makes it
Around to us and is sort of happy for us but bummed his stalk didn’t work out. We told him he should stay and watch the spot while we quarter and pack our lopes out. About as soon as we start heading down to work them up another buck comes over the rise and my brother is able to drop him. Crazy morning and we all three got to pack out together.

That's an awesome story. Glad it worked out well for y'all.

This was the first time I identified a target animal before season. I watched him for several weekends after finding him and was confident he’d be my first buck over 70”. I really started to love the look of him and was determined it was him or bust this year.

It was cool to invest so much time in one animal (I even named him). After several failed attempts over a month with my bow, things came together and I notched my tag.

When I walked up to him I first thought, “nice mass, but maybe not as big as I thought.” Later I taped him at just over 80”… I felt like a real tool for my first thought but am super jacked to have taken such a stud. A taxidermist I trust tapped him a hair under 79!
