Got out and spent a couple of days chasing ditch parrots.

Saw and heard thousands of cranes migrating both days, sure sign falls is here and the ducks and geese will be moving in behind the cranes.

Nice! I wish we had a 3 bird limit in Oregon again. We only get 2 per day. Our party of 3 hunters limited both days also.

Very nice! It's been a few years since I've hunted pheasants. I really need to rectify that. Congrats

I am ready for pheasant season, I have a 1920's Winchester model 12 Black Diamond I am dying to take a rooster with. Love hunting those birds! Nice work.

Congrats on a great opening day hunt. Lots of birds this fall . We didn't see any cranes over by Froid, but I heard from some friends of a few hundred in the area, last year there were thousands over there, guess the nice weather is just delaying their travels. Headed back over with a couple of guys from Glasgow Friday , maybe they will be headed down by then. Good luck with the rest of your season!

I took a couple of friends out Friday morning, Wow was it a great morning, cool temps, sun came out and the wind was down, great early season day. Only problem was this man's inability to hit what he was aiming at, LOL, missed way too many roosters. Still seeing great numbers of birds, had our's by about noon having started at about 8:30. Way less hunters then last weekend, but I suppose this weekend a lot will be visiting for a few days, but in another couple of weeks, most the out of staters should be gone, and the real bird season will start!

Thursday the dog is tired and saying we should have been done a little earlier, great shooting dad.

Friday the dog looks refreshed and ready for more. You know it will be a short day when you double right out of the gate. :)

Looks like fun!

The crane migrations are one of he coolest things I've seen in the wild. Really wish I had the opportunity to see them more often.
