I’ve always wanted to make the drive to or from Alaska so when my buddy asked to borrow my truck to haul his new boat to Alaska, I figured this was my opportunity. I flew my Dad up and he met me and my two sons. We fished 5 days and then made the drive back to Oregon. Here are some pictures of our adventure.

After fishing the rivers for a few days, my cousin took us out on his boat.

The fishing was so good (2 days of halibut limits and several days of coho and sockeye limits), I ended up buying a chest freezer in order to get all the fish home.

The drive back to Oregon was spectacular!

My Dad had never seen a bear in the wild and we ended up seeing 15 in under an hour.

Long drive but one of the funnest trips I’ve been on and hopefully my boys made some lifelong memories.

Thanks for sharing the pics! That is one of the best things you could do for your sons and father. I've only been to AK twice, both times as an adult with my dad and brothers and it gets talked about often, even though it was in the mid 90's. I need to step up the dad-game and take my sons even though now they're all married.
