Canadian Rockies High School Graduation Trip (pic heavy)

My oldest, Caleb, graduated from high school last month. My wife had the brilliant idea of letting him plan a trip for the three of us (with some reasonable guardrails). The kid chose a week in the Canadian Rockies, which made me feel like, in spite of much evidence to the contrary, I had done something right as a father. We flew into Spokane on Saturday, June 20 and spent three nights in Radium Hot Springs and then spent another three nights at Lake Louise. We put down some serious boot leather and spent a lot of time marveling at the scenery. My dad says that the Canadian Rockies are where Creator God started showing off. It’s magical, for sure.

thanks for posting...wife & I flying into Calgary next week, then 2 nights in Bamff, 2 nights Jasper, night in Canmore & 2 nights at Calgary Stampede. cant wait. first trip there. would appreciate any tips especially dinner spots, lake to rent a canoe & catch a trout, etc. think I bought a Big Agnes from u a few years ago. thanks, Gerald

This was a wonderful week for my family in a time of change. For those of you that have had children grow into adulthood, this is old news. For Allison & me, this is uncharted water and a time of many conflicting emotions. Thankful for this week together before the young man leaves home.
