Early in my career I had a boss I couldn't stand but who didn't have the power to dump me. He gave me feedback that I needed to be more positive. So for the next year I would say things like, "I am positive that won't work," "I am positive there is a better way to do that," and "I am positive this will not end well". We were both glad when he left.
No one was looking at her eyes.
Right drives me nuts! My kids school even has a double lane for drop off and they'll do it on both sides then have a freaking morning chat with each other. Got that to look forward to in about 3 weeks and the first couple weeks are always the worst. Mom's out there acting like they're sending their kids off to boarding school for months. You'll see them at 3 and remember you bitched all summer about about them driving you crazy move it along lady!We needed that in sign form at the school my daughter attended for her first five years. Several moms would get out of their vehicle, open the door for their children, and get them all packed up while everyone else waited. We had one mom who actually walked her kid into the school every day (and maybe waited until the kid took its morning dump) before returning to her vehicle. Since the drop off was a narrow alley, no one stuck behind her could continue on until she got back to the vehicle.
When my wife worked at the school I had to pick her up one afternoon. The school moms were parked in both lanes going both directions in front of the school. All traffic was completely stopped until all the kids were picked up.We needed that in sign form at the school my daughter attended for her first five years. When I was a kid we rode the bus. Just how it was. And the bus didn't stop every 200 yards to let you off. Had to walk a ways sometimes. mtmuley
A stay home from school sick day before cable TV, internet and video games . . .
Not too many kids do anymore. Mine do. One bus for the entire k-8 school. Pretty unheard of around here. When I was a kid we rode the bus. Just how it was. And the bus didn't stop every 200 yards to let you off. Had to walk a ways sometimes. mtmuley
