On the weekend of the kids hunt we were walking a big flat when I told my son Brady that I could smell sheep. He said there was one right behind me just down a finger, so I put the big sneak on him and had him at 50 yds but he was only a 3/4 curl. I told Brady to take some pictures of him with his phone, he was able to walk to within 10 yds of this ram and his little buddy before they spooked. The next day Brady was able to take a 3x4 muley so he was happy and on sunday we were driving down ferry rd and saw a small ram. We drove up next to him and Brady got real excited and told me to get out there was a big one just down the draw. I walked to the edge of the rd and it was another 3/4 curl, we continued down to the river to glass then came back up. A gentleman was putting his gun away right where the 2 rams were. I asked him if we could take a look and he asked if I had seen him, why I had passed him up. Turned out Ted was from Bigfork, 70 yrs old and his last weekend to hunt, we helped gut and drag it out for him..hopefully good karma. We also ran into a fellow ht'r (Bugle Em In) who's son harvested a nice ewe.
