In September I spent a few weeks bow hunting Wyoming. I had deer, bear and elk tags so was keeping my options open
Spent the first 5 days or so hunting high country mule deer with my bow. As it was archery season I had the place to myself and also saw a few deer. Had an opportunity to take a mule deer buck with my bow but missed three times due to a stuff up with my range finder
Beautiful country

Then it was time to try for an elk with my bow. The elk were pretty quiet and I didn't connect with an elk either. Got very close to a nice elk but another missed chance.
Elk camp

Again amazing country and awesome time spent on horse back with some great guys

While I was there I got to see my taxidermy from last year

And crate it up for the trip home

I saw heaps of wildlife including grizzly bears. This mum and cub were feeding on the remains of a moose.

Planning is already underway for my trip next year. Will spend most of my time trying for a black bear.
Thanks to all the hunttalkers who have provided advice over the last few years. This forum is a fantastic place
