Seems like the 6.5's and the 280 AI have overshadowed this fine round. I have not heard much about the 7mm-08 of late. Any good words for America's best non-magnun 7mm, IMO.

I dont have anything negative to say about it. One of @Big Fin favorite rounds and my uncle and BIL love it. Personally I have a 6.5 CM and a .308 win so I dont really have a need for one. Great round for a new shooter/ hunter.

I have two in model seven’s, probably as good of a deer round as exists. I wouldn’t hesitate on elk either with the right bullet…. I just got in some of the new Lehigh bullets that I’m looking forward to trying this year. Still undecided but one may make the trip to CO this in a few months

Shouldn't have any problems.

I’ve shot moose, mountain goat, bears, and everything down to coyotes. Overlooked for sure, yet extremely capable. I think I have six of them.

Just finished an NRL match last week using a standard Howa 7mm08. It performed very well. If Mrs. Fin and I draw Wyoming pronghorn, I’ll use that same rifle.

Using a 7mm08 Super Lite on a NWT backpack hunt in August. It’s more capable than I am.

My wife has taken a pile of deer , a couple elk and 2 caribou with her 7mm-08. 3 years ago, after many decades of hunting with a .270 Win and a .300 Win Mag. , I switched to a 7mm-08. I have taken maybe 6 deer with it. Switching to mono ammo this year after bullet failures with the stuff I was using. She has had great results with 140 gr. Federal Fusion. Very happy with low recoil and accuracy.

Great all around deer cartridge. Just have one but considering another for grandkids.

Mine is a 20" stainless Rem 7 wearing a compact Burris scope. Very light and fast on target.

Taken several deer that I had just a few second look at with it. Only gun Ive carried that was as quick to get up with was a Winchester 94.

Very accurate with Federal partitions too.

My kid has had good luck with hers. Killed a couple of bucks and a decent sized black bear. With 140 grain accubonds, its a big step up from the .243 we originally had her using.

Reduced recoil loads...I think Hornady still makes them..bring recoil closer to 243 levels with a bigger bullet. We have the Remington ones, no longer made I think...POI is very close to regular loads.

Taking my Model Seven 7mm-08 out of the safe this fall for a couple hunts. 140 accubonds. Good medicine for putting critters in the freezer.

Never did acquire a 7-08 in my broad collection, should have. At this point don't need another cartridge to load for, nor another rifle in my collection.

Been trying to find a T3x superlite or the roughtech in 7mm-08 . Having a hard time tracking one down. Maybe someone here has insight as to why? Sako's website says they produce them, but maybe just more supply in the European market?
