The demand for higher pressure ammo is being led by the military. They also need to be able to utilize it in existing platforms... this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the technology. Next will be 308. I'd be bummed if I spent money on a 6.5 PRC with this being available now.

I was looking at getting a 6.5prc when the plus peak info dropped. I'm glad I waited. There is no longer a benefit to the 6.5prc. The plus peak exceeds it in velocity out of a shorter barrel. You can also switch between plus peak for hunting to standard brass for plinking.

I hesitantly fired this thread back up this week because I had a guy at work ask me what I thought of the .300 win-mag. Nothing about this silly peak cases has made me second guess my prc. Wouldn’t make me rethink my current 308 rounds if they go that direction either.

Well shit....what am I to do with the 1500 140 grain accubonds and 8 lbs of varget?

Keeping my fingers crossed the peak 7-08 ammo stalls.
